Natural, robust and efficient: the new Legno Smart-Öl from ADLER fulfills all wishes

An oil for particularly resistant surfaces, and with just one application - that sounds too good to be true. But the innovative Legno Smart-Öl from ADLER makes it possible!

Oiled surfaces are popular in furniture and interior design for good reason. They bring out the character of wood to its best advantage, impress with their pleasant look and feel and create a feel-good atmosphere in the interior. With regular care, this natural beauty is permanently preserved and minor damage can be easily repaired. However, applying many oils twice by hand is time-consuming, and oiled surfaces can quickly show clear signs of wear under heavy use. With the new Legno Smart-Öl from ADLER, however, these weak points are now a thing of the past. The innovative 2-component oil achieves a high level of chemical and mechanical resistance that can withstand even heavy use. Furniture and table tops can be finished with it, as can interior doors, and thanks to its good slip resistance with anti-slip class R11, the oil is also ideal for floors and stairs.

Once applied - that's it!

And the best thing is: thanks to the high solids content of the high-solids oil, just one application is enough! "We recommend sanding the oil directly into the wood with a fine sanding fleece - this improves the resistance and surface quality even further," explains Dr. Gabriel Partl, who developed the new product with his team at ADLER's F&E department. The oil also impresses with its outstanding environmental properties, as Legno Smart-Öl is produced on the basis of natural oils and is free from heavy metals in accordance with EN 71-3. In addition to the colorless version, ADLER offers a wide selection of different standard colors. "This opens up great scope for design, from the natural wood effect even on light woods to elegant shades of grey and black," says Dr. Partl.

High-effect metallic oil

Legno Smart-Öl is not the only new addition to the furniture oil range from the leading Austrian lacquer manufacturer. ADLER offers Legno Metallic-Öl in gold and silver for high-impact surface accents. "The oil contains high-quality special pigments that provide an elegantly shimmering color," explains Dr. Partl. This gives the wood a unique, porous look that is guaranteed to make every piece of furniture an eye-catcher - and is very easy and safe to use.

Food-safe Natura oil

The third product ADLER is presenting is the new Legno Natura oil, which has been specially developed for wooden surfaces with direct and permanent food contact. "Many processors use olive oil, linseed oil or walnut oil here, but these either dry poorly, have a strong smell and taste of their own or may contain allergens," explains Dr. Partl. Legno Natura oil is pure nature: it is produced on the basis of low-odour and low-taste natural oils and is free from solvents and other additives. It is also non-yellowing and color-neutral - the perfect, safe and sustainable surface treatment for cutting and serving boards or fruit bowls, for example.

Oils for every application

ADLER already offered its customers high-quality oils for every area of application. The three new additions close the last gaps in this diverse range. "Carpenters and joiners will be particularly pleased with the Legno Smart-Öl," says Dr. Gabriel Partl: "The nature-based 2K oil is the ideal product for anyone who appreciates the natural beauty of oiled surfaces but still wants to achieve maximum resistance. And thanks to the ease of application with just one coat, you also save a lot of time and money!"
