Spunky segments

Silas Leng wanted to put a lot of storage space in a room divider. However, his masterpiece took more and more the form of a fireplace. The young employee of the furniture workshop Häring in March near Freiburg, Germany, seized the opportunity and added another fireplace to his design. This perfectly complements the already planned firewood-log-look, for which Leng applied small pieces of end-grain wood to drawers made of local elm. Elm wood was also massively used for the base and as veneer for the upper hood made of plywood. Leng painted the white contrast surfaces of MDF with ADLER Aduro MDF-4in1 in the colour RAL 9010 and with an additional layer of ADLER Legnopur G30. All around the electric fireplace, glass surfaces coated with ADLER Aduro-Vetrocolor also in RAL 9010 provide protection and exciting fire reflections at the same time. Silas calls his fireplace furniture "Elias", because that means "God is the light"!
