A dream kitchen, open to the space
When we think of a kitchen, it's usually an entire room that comes to mind. Filled to the brim with tall units, shelves, worktops, storage surfaces; every centimeter used and built up to the ceiling. A lot of effort when you consider that a kitchen basically only has two tasks to fulfill: Cooking and storage. It should offer space for this and make it as easy as possible. Ukrainian designer Vitaliy Ivakhov focuses on these basic functions and has developed a minimalist kitchen concept that combines the essence of cooking in a single, free-standing kitchen unit: Succinctly outlined, simple, easy to implement, but also flexibly adaptable to a wide variety of situations and needs - just like a good recipe!
Space miracle
the little kitchen dream is not called "Mriya" for nothing, as Mriya is the Ukrainian word for "dream". And the name and logo probably also borrow a little from the most famous "Mriya" - the longest and heaviest aircraft in the world, which was unfortunately destroyed by the Russian attack in 2022. But like the Antonov An-225, which once transported the Buran space shuttle, the kitchen block is also a marvel of construction and stowage art. It seems unbelievable what can be accommodated in its compact dimensions - and can therefore be reached with a single movement. Wine glass and lemon squeezer, spice shaker and potato box: Every item has its place, everything that is needed is there: "We clearly focus on the cooking itself - our kitchens are tailored to this task and are not limited by the geometry of the room," explains Ivakhov, who has been fine-tuning the perfect kitchen since 1996. The Mriya monobloc can now be simply placed in the room without a great deal of measuring effort - and just as easily taken away or replaced later. No major preparatory work is required; it can be set up in one day. And if more storage space is required, flexible bamboo shelves with an open, lightweight look can be added.
Design variety
As standardized as the dimensions and modules may be, there is still plenty of design variety - thanks to coatings from ADLER: whether the kitchen is to come in elegant Pigmopur white or another color, in walnut veneer lacquered with Bluefin Terra-Diamond or in an elegant rosewood look(Arova Spritzbeize Kognak and Aduro Legnopur): The lacquers and stains that the manufacturer sources from its long-standing ADLER partner in the Ukraine - the dedicated Living Wood team led by Nadiia Rodionova - really get the dream kitchen off to a flying start!
